Peer Education in Cambodia

What happens when Cambodian children receive support to develop their reading skills?

A video about the Total Reading Approach for Children (TRAC) project in Cambodia by World Education.

TRAC is a pilot initiative that is improving the reading outcomes of Cambodian students in grades 1 and 2 through fun and engaging learning games, books, and mobile technology in the local language, and working in close partnership with schools and communities. World Education is implementing TRAC in collaboration with local partner Kampuchean Action for Primary Education.

These Cambodian girls test out their reading toolkit of flashcards, games, and letter puzzles.  The toolkit is a component of World Education’s new Total Reading Approach for Children (TRAC) program, which works with Cambodia’s Primary Education Department to develop short-interval reading benchmarks to help teachers identify struggling students in grades 1 -3.
